Welcome to Foundation Stage! We work with children from three to five years and follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. We have a FS1 Base (Nursery) and a FS2 Base (Reception) with seven full-time members of staff who are: Mrs Thompson, Mrs Hurst, Mrs Byrne, Mrs Hotchkiss, Mrs Stephens, Miss Shaw and Mr Cogger.  We also have Mr Lawson, Mrs Scott and Miss Wilson currently working within the FS team.

During children’s time in Foundation Stage they will cover three prime areas of learning through child led and adult led activities. The prime areas are: Communication and Language, Physical Development and Personal, Social and Emotional Development. These prime areas are the most essential to a child’s healthy development and future learning.

They will also cover four specific areas which are: Literacy, Mathematical Development, Understanding the World and Expressive Arts and Design. We work closely together as a Foundation Stage team and with the rest of Angram Bank School. We take part in Achievement Day, termly Parents Evening, parent workshops and fundraising events. Children get on the Angram Bank bus in our Foundation Stage and continue on an exciting learning journey!

Safer Internet Day at Angram Bank

Safer Internet Day 2018 will be celebrated globally on Tuesday 6th February 2018 with the slogan:

“Create, Connect and Share Respect: A better internet starts with you”.

Safer Internet Day is celebrated globally in February each year to promote the safe and positive use of digital technology for children and young people and inspire a national conversation.

Coordinated in the UK by the UK Safer Internet Centre the celebration sees hundreds of organisations get involved to help promote the safe, responsible and positive use of digital technology for children and young people.

Globally, Safer Internet Day is celebrated in over a hundred countries, coordinated by the joint Insafe/INHOPE network, with the support of the European Commission, and national Safer Internet Centres across Europe.

The day offers the opportunity to highlight positive uses of technology and to explore the role we all play in helping to create a better and safer online community. It calls upon young people, parents, carers, teachers, social workers, law enforcement, companies, policymakers, and wider, to join together in helping to create a better internet. Get involved to play your part!
