Welcome to Foundation Stage! We work with children from three to five years and follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. We have a FS1 Base (Nursery) and a FS2 Base (Reception). The teachers in FS1 are Mrs Hotchkiss and Miss Hotchkiss who are supported by Curriculum Specialist Mrs Byrne and Teaching Assistants Mrs Stephens and Mrs Harrison. In FS2 the teachers are Mrs Bell and Mrs Hurst who are supported by Teaching Assistants Miss Shaw and Miss Crooks.
During children’s time in Foundation Stage they will cover three prime areas of learning through child led and adult led activities. The prime areas are: Communication and Language, Physical Development and Personal, Social and Emotional Development. These prime areas are the most essential to a child’s healthy development and future learning.
They will also cover four specific areas which are: Literacy, Mathematical Development, Understanding the World and Expressive Arts and Design. We work closely together as a Foundation Stage team and with the rest of Angram Bank School. We take part in Achievement Day, termly Parents Evening, parent workshops and fundraising events. Children get on the Angram Bank bus in our Foundation Stage and continue on an exciting learning journey!

We take effective and thoughtful action to promote and design a wide range of opportunities to develop pupils spiritual, moral, social, cultural and physical well being. This enables our pupils to thrive in a supportive and positive climate for learning.
Welcome to Y1/2! Our teachers are Miss Leesley, Mr Bunting and Miss Overton. Mrs Wood and Mrs Marsden are around each day to support our learning. We are all busy bees and love to grow our brains. We hope you enjoy reading our regular blog updates showcasing our learning.
Be kind and help your brain grow, get on the values rainbow!
Welcome to Y5/6! Miss Hope, Miss Heath and Miss Nicholson are the teachers in these year groups. Mrs Mee and Mrs Ashton are our teaching assistants, and they work really hard supporting learning in class, as well as taking groups out for 'keeping up time'. We hope you enjoy reading our blogs which outline and showcase our current learning.
On Tuesday the 3rd of July, 8 x Year 6 students represented Angram Bank at an art celebration day at the Institute of Arts at Hallam University. The students participated in clay and pop art activities.
At the end of the day, the children displayed the work they had brought along from school. Pupils from all schools then voted on which school had the most fun delivering this project.
It was with great excitement that with an overwhelming vote we won this award resulting in a prize of art resources for school that we can put towards future projects.Well done everyone !!
To celebrate the World Cup fever, we were lucky enough to have Ash Randall into school.
He is a football freestyler who has broken at least 19 Guinness World Records with his fantastic skills.
We started the day with a whole school assembly which involved a demonstration of Ash's super skills. He even skipped whilst doing keep-ups! He also got lots of children involved and held a freestyle battle between Miss Leesley and Mr Ganley!
Throughout the day, we all had a workshop with Ash in which we learnt lots of new skills. We learnt how Ash has used lots of resilience throughout his life to become as skilled as he is.
We are now all football mad!
Calling all key stage 2 children: do you like swimming and have reached ASA level 7-10 in swimming lessons?
Would you like to join a competitive yet fun and social swimming club that train at Thorncliffe Leisure Centre, High Green?
|What we do…
Swimmers are able to enter galas to win medals and trophies. The club also competes in a league where we race against other regional clubs.
There is a cool club kit of t-shirts, bags and hoodies so everyone feels part of the group. We would love to see some new younger members in our squad. We are looking for new members aged 8-11 to join us. In particular, we are looking for 8-9 year old boys and girls, who could join our league to race in galas against other clubs. If you are interested please contact Louise Page for more details:
