Welcome to Foundation Stage! We work with children from three to five years and follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. We have a FS1 Base (Nursery) and a FS2 Base (Reception). The teachers in FS1 are Mrs Hotchkiss and Miss Hotchkiss who are supported by Curriculum Specialist Mrs Byrne and Teaching Assistants Mrs Stephens and Mrs Harrison. In FS2 the teachers are Mrs Bell and Mrs Hurst who are supported by Teaching Assistants Miss Shaw and Miss Crooks.
During children’s time in Foundation Stage they will cover three prime areas of learning through child led and adult led activities. The prime areas are: Communication and Language, Physical Development and Personal, Social and Emotional Development. These prime areas are the most essential to a child’s healthy development and future learning.
They will also cover four specific areas which are: Literacy, Mathematical Development, Understanding the World and Expressive Arts and Design. We work closely together as a Foundation Stage team and with the rest of Angram Bank School. We take part in Achievement Day, termly Parents Evening, parent workshops and fundraising events. Children get on the Angram Bank bus in our Foundation Stage and continue on an exciting learning journey!

We take effective and thoughtful action to promote and design a wide range of opportunities to develop pupils spiritual, moral, social, cultural and physical well being. This enables our pupils to thrive in a supportive and positive climate for learning.
Welcome to Y1/2! Our teachers are Miss Leesley, Miss Holmshaw and Miss Overton. Miss Crookes and Mrs Green are also here to support our learning. We are all busy bees and love to grow our brains. We hope you enjoy reading our regular blog updates showcasing our learning.
Be kind and help your brain grow, get on the values rainbow!
Welcome to Y5/6! Miss Hope, Miss Heath and Mr Merone are the teachers in these year groups. Mrs Mee and Mrs Ashton are our teaching assistants, and they work really hard supporting learning in class, as well as taking groups out for 'keeping up time'. We hope you enjoy reading our blogs which outline and showcase our current learning.
The weather forecast is indicating that we are entering a period of colder weather and with this comes the possibility of snow at some point.
Angram Bank Primary School will always do its utmost to stay open, however, closures and changes to opening times may occur due to reasons such as bad weather.
Listed below is a reminder to parents/carers of the procedures we would operate to inform you of any changes to the school opening times.
1. Text message
The designated contact for each student will receive a text message if there are any changes to the school opening times. Please check with the office that your contact details are up to date and correct. We will not send out messages to parents/carers if we are open.
2. School Website
Information about a school closure will always be posted on our website and updated regularly so please check for the latest information.
3. Sheffield City Council Website
The school will also notify the Sheffield City Council of any closure. You can register to receive email updates about changes to the school opening times:
www.sheffield.gov.uk/schoolclosures
If heavy snow falls during the school day, the school will remain open until 3.30pm. Parents concerned about collecting their children at 3.30pm are advised to come to school earlier to collect them if this is deemed to be a safer option.
